Showcase Your Achievements in Sustainability

Dear distinguished alums of the TU Berlin Energy Masters’ programs,

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to each and every one of you for your accomplishments since graduating. Your remarkable contributions to sustainability deserve to be celebrated and shared with your esteemed former classmates as part of a knowledge exchange initiative. It is with great enthusiasm that we invite you to participate in the Alums Sustainability Competition by uploading your achievements through this link (Link) before the submission deadline on October 20, 2023.

What makes this competition truly special is that your classmates and colleagues will serve as the jury, tasked with the delightful responsibility of voting for the most outstanding idea among the numerous excellent entries. We understand the magnitude of this role and assure you that it will be a rewarding experience filled with camaraderie and excitement. 

At the heart of this competition lies the celebration of your academic and professional successes, which have not gone unnoticed. To ensure your active participation in the voting process, you will receive the voting form during registration on Alums Day.

The distinguished winner of the Alums Sustainability Competition will be bestowed with a prize of 1000€, recognizing their exceptional efforts in contributing to a more sustainable future. Additionally, their success story will receive extensive coverage across various media channels, including our alums network and prominent social platforms. This is an opportunity to seize, and we encourage you to showcase your achievements, thereby inspiring others to join the movement towards a greener and more sustainable world.

Details:

  1. Eligibility: Open to all alums of the TU Berlin Energy Master programs, who have implemented sustainability projects or initiatives in any sector or industry.

  2. Categories: Entries are welcomed in the following categories:

    • Energy governance, law and regulation
    • Renewable Energy and Clean Technology
    • Sustainable Urban Development
    • Sustainable Mobility

  3. Submission Guidelines:

    • Prepare a comprehensive presentation showcasing your sustainability achievement (as research, project, start-up, case etc.)
    • Highlight the achievement´s goals, methodology, impact, and results achieved.
    • Include supporting materials such as photographs, data, and testimonials.
    • All the information must be organized in a poster (70 x 100 cm). The application must deliver a pdf file with a high resolution

  4. Peer Voting and Awards:

    • After the submission deadline, all eligible entries will be displayed for peer voting.
    • The project with the highest number of votes in each category will be awarded the Sustainability Achievement Award.

  5. Recognition and Prizes:

    • The winner will receive a 1.000 Euro prize and wide recognition through various media channels, including our alums network and social media platforms.
